how many teams and what format? As of right now i'd say your IF is weak. Pitching and OF look good. Keep your eye on Brandon Larson. if he's available. GL~

You have a good OF average pitching but you should try to get better IF. I would try to work a trade with Santana or Ishii for some infielders. Santana probably wont start this year anyway with Rogers.

Keep Durham and Boone?

Or do I have to revamp the whole infield?

Your teams in alot of trouble. Both your pitching and hitting is are weak. My advice to you is to scour the waiver wire when the season starts for guys who are hot. Maybe you get lucky and get an impact guy like gagne.

Hey Dude...

Despite some of the prior postings, I kind of like your right side of the infield. Durham in SF will score tons of runs and hit for nice avg, and Lee will be a nice sleeper. I might consider trying to strengthen your left side of infield by sliding Boone to SS and putting Hinske at third. Then, you could plug a guy into the utility spot like Sanchez who will pump up your SB's, and as the season progresses, plug and play with Bellhorn and Sanchez as the util players, depending on trying to improve a certain cateogry...SB vs. HR. For pitching, you could be in a bit of trouble. I am very low on Wells, because of age and the strength of the Yanks rotation, and with the signing of Rogers in Minnesota, Santana's value dropped quite a bit, although he has a huge upside. See if you can package a combo of Wells and Womack for a mid-tier P, like a Wade Miller, or a somebody who may be a sleeper, like a Wakefield in Boston, or maybe a Beckett who could provide you a huge upside, otherwise, you P will drag you down for the season. Good Luck!

Ii offered a trade

Postby fantasma62 » Tue Mar 18, 2003 11:40 pm

I felt the same way about Wells and Womack, so I offered someone a trade for Matt Clement and Aubrey Huff. Is this a fair trade?
All feedback will be greatly appreciated

your trade

Postby wisconsin92 » Wed Mar 19, 2003 12:28 am

i think your trade is fair to a point. womack is not what he used to be so it could hurt any trade you put him in, but with the players you are asking for i would go for it. i am a cubs fan and i think clement is going to have a bad year, he seems to me like a high maintenance kind of guy and with the talent in the cubs' pitching he might develop an attitude and then his year will go down the crapper. the reason i am saying this is i have met matt clement when the cubs were in pittsburgh and that is the impression he left with me. if you do get him i would watch him for his first 5 or so starts and if it isn't working see if you can get a sleeper pitcher like lackey. i also think miller will have a more productive year than marrero will so you might want to think about starting him, think of the confidence he brings to the defense and his offensive ability is very good as well. this is just my opinion, i am not trying to degrade any player you are looking at or your ability.
cubs fan for life.
