I'm sure it's happened plenty of times, and if you hit a pitch that fast it's gonna go really far no matter what, as long as you get it elevated. It was awesome, but definately not the first time. As somebody said, Franco pretty much did it a few days ago.....but I hate to burst your bubble
And wouldn't that be something if Gagne's save streak was ended off a Bonds HR? If only Milton Bradley hit one less ground out resulting in Dave Roberts scoring.........

Are you guys actually excited about a foul ball? I don't care how fast it was or where it was located a foul ball is a foul ball. After he hit it did they have an on field ceremony in praise of Barry? I really can't believe anyone here would actually make a post about a freakin foul ball.
Giants manager Felipe Alou called Gagne's home run pitch Friday night to Barry Bonds "unhittable." Alou was still amazed at the confrontation between Gagne and Bonds. "Especially that time of the night, in the ninth inning; that's a heck of an at-bat," Alou said. "He threw 100 mph. I appreciate seeing that." Gagne was the 392nd pitcher to give up a homer to Bonds, and the 14th Cy Young Award winner.
