Keep pushin' that contract year theory
As far as Alou hitting 30, though, crazier things have happened...

He's hit 30 twice. 38 in '98 and 30 in '99

I would doubt it. Alou is the kind of player that plays his hardest every game and doesn't need a contract year to motivate him. Alou didn't hit 30 last year and theres no reason to believe he'll hit 30 this year.

well he has 5 already, so i think he can get at least 25 more, especially with the way that the cubs line-up is stacked. He is going to get a lot of pitches behind sosa and in front of lee. plus a contract year comming up spells HR

Not really, the contract year only really affects the selfish players who play for the money more than for the love of the game. Moises Alou is a gamer, he gives it his all every game, contract year or not.
