Do I need more pitching?

Postby George_Foreman » Fri Apr 16, 2004 5:26 pm

I have two teams.

the first is in an 8 team 5x5 h2h leauge:
c posada
1b helton
2b boone
3b rolen
ss arod
ss tejada
of berkman
of ichiro
of crawford
of kearns
of burnitz
c estrada
of damon

sp schilling
sp beckett
sp c. zambrano
sp w. williams
rp rhodes
rp herges
rp nathan
rp j. julio
rp nen (IL)

my infield is super-strong, but do you think i should try to move some of my extra outfielders for some more pitching? while i feel quite good about my 4 starters, should i try to package an OF and perhaps julio for another decent starter?

my second team is in a 12 team 5x5 roto league:

c varitek
1b/3b teixeirz
2b soriano
3b blalock
ss garciapara (IL)
of ichiro
of b. giles
of a. jones
of crawfrod
1b sweeney
of gonzalez
2b durham
3b coskie
ss reyes (IL)

sp schilling
sp webb
sp w. miller
sp v. zambrano
sp peavy
rp herges
rp nathan
rp rhodes

as you can see, i drafted my way into some injury problems at SS, but i can live with that for the time being. i just don't know what to do with this team, though. i'm thinking i should move coskie, but i'm not sure what for. i'm doing very well in all of pitching categories, but i seem to be losing the hitting categories outside of SB. any advice on possible moves? or is this just a product of not having garciaparra in the lineup, in which case i should just wait it out?

any answers to these questions as well as other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, feel free to ask me for a critque of your own team. :-D

Your stacked with speed guys. W/ Ichiro/Crawford/Soriano you may not need Reyes, Durham that much. OF is ok but could an upgrade would be nice. A trade for a better #2 SP would be nice also.

I think that your first team looks pretty good, more pitching is always better.

As for your second team, I agree with the above post, you do have a bit of speed, and everyone could use SB's so maybe see if you can get a few stronger arms with a package deal?
