If your trying to say that when an opposing baserunner takes off for home and you think you've got him by like 10 feet or so but your catcher doesn't apply a tag I know exactly how you feel. I've pressed Down, Downleft, Downright, Right, Left, Up and nothing seems to work. Of course I also have this problem when opposing players steal second on me. Frustrating as hell.

Yeah I think it is the game itself. Iv e noticed this and it has cause me a few games <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> I have trouble picking 2nd too, but only if it is someone fast, pretty much anyone who leads off can bunt then steal without a problem

Try standing a little (or a lot) in front of home plate to block the runner's path.

I have played at least 70 games in MVP and have only had the comp try to steal on me once! Whats up with that?!
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

They also never take big leads, I have never used the pick off button once.

This one used to frustrate me too.
Here is what you do:
Use the action stick to swipe a tag. Like sliding it takes a little getting used to. You can only swipe a tag in certain situations. A runner will need to be heading to your base and you will need to hit the action stick once he comes within a certain distance of it.
Good luck catching baserunners now! It will be way easier! I do not know why EA did not put more information like this in the user manual, nor why all these "Top Cheat Sites" do not post information on how to swipe a tag.

Make sure that you are not moving with the player. If you are moving a swipe will not be applied!
