Furcal may go on DL!

Postby athakkar » Fri Apr 16, 2004 9:53 am

damn...I only carry one SS and its killin me. and to see this news, makes it even worse:

According to the Braves Official Site, Furcal was still experiencing some soreness in his back when he swung from the left side of the plate on Thursday afternoon, and his status for the Braves weekend series remains in doubt.

"I'm going to try to play this weekend," Furcal said. "But it's still bothering me a little bit." If Furcal cannot go this weekend, the Braves are likely to put him on the DL. We will keep you informed on his status.

what should I do? try an pick up another SS? I would hate to let go of one of my bench players in Konerko, Gerut, and Matos. If I go for another SS....who? Womack, Uribe, and Lugo are available. any recommendations?

I'd drop Matos and pick up the speedy Tony Womack.
