Unfortunately for Red Sox fans, we're going to see another season of ever-shifting lineups. Other than slotting in Damon at the #1 position, and Nomar and Manny at 3 and 4, there's going to be alot of movement.
Mainly this is because the 1B, 3B and DH positions have alot of people vying for playing time. Expect to see Walker at #2 most of the time (Giambi is just plain too slow). Giambi or Ortiz or Millar somewhere in the 5-7 slots, with Varitek hitting 9th most of the time I would imagine. While putting the slow Varitek at #9 might not seem great to many, he has to hit somewhere, and I think the Red Sox are happy to have him focusing on being a great catcher, rather than a great hitter, and have no problem keeping the pressure on him at a minimum. Bad for his fantasy stats., but whatever it takes to get the team to the World Series.
