The last couple games he's gone like 0 for 8, or something like that. Was that hot start just a mirage?

I wouldn't read too much in to either the hot start or the 0-8 slump. He's still the same old enigmatic and inconsistent Beltre that we all know and despise.

no he wont he had 2 bad games delgado has had about 4 in arow same with thome and a hole bunch of other players hes got a new contract hes finally not hurt hes going to have a big year just had 2 bad games

I don't know about any of you guys, but I always expect Beltre to get a hit. Seriously, he has started way better this year than any other year, so just be happy with that.

He got a new contract? I thought this was his walking year...if anything I would say him getting a new contract would hurt his performance (Berkman, Burrell, Hidalgo even though he's great again, etc).

Delgado has had 3 MVP calibre seasons. Beltre has been horrible his entire career. You stinkin homer :-D

Instead of 2 bad games amongst a good week, i'd look at it as a good week amongst 800 bad games. This season is too small to make judgements on. With all the good 3B options, Beltre should be a FA in most leagues.
