IS he worth a Number 1 waiver priority?
Someone just dropped him?

this is a public league so I'm not sure what to do :-D

What kind of numbers do you expect from him this year!

I'd say so, yes. Hard to believe someone dropped him, he's coming back tommorow.

Why do I sense a tinge of sarcasm when you're talking about the Dodgers offense? I guess you forgot to check the standings ;-)

And yes, pick up Jason Schmidt, even though he's on the Giants he might be pretty good! haha

Hell yeah pick him up. He was the #1 SP last year. If he gets healthy, he could be in the top 5 this year. He seems to be OK, so once he gets used to pitching (I'ld give him 3 starts or so to get back to normal) he should be back to his dominant self, ie: 10 K's, CG, low ERA, awesome WHIP, and a win if Barry can hit one into McCovey Cove.

He clears waivers the 18th, so I can't get him for his first start. Since I have #1 priority I could get him. My only fear, about giving up #1 priority is since it's in a public league. I am afraid someone will drop A-rod and I won't be able to pick him up :-D

Schmidt is about as good as it gets on the wire. You'll regret it if you don't take him and the best guy that becomes available throughout the year is Randy Winn or something.

I wouldn't sit on your hands waiting for Arod to hit the WW. :-D Pick up Schmidt.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Agreed, If he wasn't hurt Schmidt would have gone in the 1st 3 rounds in most every draft, Pick him up. Not often does a 3rd round talent get dropped, even in Public leagues.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
