So is this a blessing or a curse?
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I don't understand how it could be a curse...you use it on someone medicore or something?

It's great to have! If someone stupid drops a good player, you can totally take advantage of it!

Yeah, someone dropped Frank Thomas a couple days ago and sure enough I had the highest pick and snagged him.

Depends. If no one really good is dropped, it's a curse, but if someone like Frank Thomas or Brian Giles (just saw him dropped in a 12-teamer) is dropped, it's awesome. Right now I have #1 waiver priority and it's hurting me because there are several players Iwould've claimed if I had a lower priority. Right now Guillen is on waivers but I don'tt hink he's worth a #1, so I'm probably not going to get him.

totally depends on your how you handle it and how deep your league is... if you're in a public league its pretty important cos you never know when someones gonna drop Vernon Wells and if youre in a more competitive league you tend to use it more for guys who come up midseason (and players who switch leagues in trades in NL or AL only leagues- thats why no. 1 priority is so important in NL and AL only leagues cos a guy in a AL only league would prolly need it when/if Griffey, Jr. is traded to the Ms or some other AL team).
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

One of the guys in my league this year made it a point of not involving himself in the post draft rush to the waiver wire that happens so much in leagues in which undrafted players go to waivers. He's been sitting on the #1 spot for a week and half and he hit the jackpot as someone just dropped Brian Giles...
