SKINNY: Prior still feels a periodic twinge in his right elbow, but believes it's normal and not career-threatening as he seeks to regain strength and endurance in the arm, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. In fact, the Cubs think Prior could be back by early-to-mid May.
THis twinge is a little scary, but an early to mid may return? Now thats what i'm talking about. If he only misses April, I still think he be will the best SP in fantasy baseball. I'm not even sure i would trade him for Pedro, would you? Your take

Early to mid-May is WAY to optimistic I think. I would be ecstatic if he did come back that early AND FULLY healthy.
But I've already got it in my head that Prior won't be available until after the All-Star break. That keeps me at least somewhat sane and if he comes back before that - Bonus!!!
i don't think it is worth it to pencil him in for after the all-star break. The cubs are being over cautious with Prior and I believe he will be back sometime in May.

Prior has the same injury as Nomar. Nobody is suggesting Nomar will be out till after the All-Star break. The arm injury, I'm pretty sure, is due to not throwing much over the past month. Once he gets used to throwing a ball again, mid-late May doesn't seem unrealistic. Think of now as his spring training. People getting worked up over his arm soreness are probably thinking 3 more months of DL because there were rumours of TJ being needed. Well if the ligament is 100%, which and MRI proved to be correct, then TJ is totally out of the question.
My prediction: May 19th. Why? I don't know. But people thinking late-July/August are crazy.

LBJ ... 10 pitches during an outing? only 10? and that his "Spring Training" ... naww, I don't see it, something is up. This is not normal, soreness after 10 pitches.
Maybe they were being extra cautious, I dunno. But I dont think it'll be a long-term injury. The MRI showed nothing. Maybe mid May is too early, but the AS break is way too late.
