Oh. I forgot. After I picked Piazza in the 3rd, I rebounded nicely and grabbed Palmeiro in the 4th for the steal of the draft, wisely passing on Tejada, Carlos Lee, and Hudson.

Still early in the year. 4th round is way too early for Lee and Palmeiro but not for Tejada and Hudson.

As a result, the auto pick used my top picks included
Bonds (great bat, but will get half the chances... wouldnt have been my pick), Smoltz and Gagne (great players, but not for the first 2/3 rounds when draft is making a run on infielders ), Loaiza (raise your hand if you think hes gonna do That again?), and L. Gonz (doin fine, but his arms going to give out any time now )
14 team league. Mistakes probably Abreau in 3rd (already drafted Beltran in 1st), M Byrd in 15th. Best picks were M Mulder in 7th, Hinkse in 12th, Lorretta in 13th, C Guzman in 20th.
I guess i now know who the owners in all my yahoo leagues are whose picks at the draft i laugh at every time. I find it humorous this post was even made, evaluating your draft based on 2 weeks worth of stats!! I'm sure everyone who drafted Halladay last year woulda said he was a mistake. We all know how he turned out. But i did get a kick outta almost all the picks you guys posted!
