STFU. These posts are getting annoying. He's not batting well. Isn't that enough? He's obviously not injured. He's starting slow.

I'm getting annoyed at 50 posts a day saying "[Name]: What's wrong with him?"

This is unacceptable. I know who you are, MR.

can we get a mod to lock this topic?

Back to Abru; just give him some time, he will start hitting soon, the same time when the rest of the phillies start hitting

Seems the members have let the guest know what they think of his rudeness and Bobby's slow start is something that quite a few people are wondering about. We'll leave it open for the time being. ;-)

Personally, with the consistancy Abreu has had the last couple of years:

2003: .300, 20 homers, 101 rbi, 99 runs, 22 steals.
2002: .308, 20 homers, 85 rbi, 102 runs, 31 steals.

I think he's just off to a slow start along with most of the Philly team. I'd give him a couple more weeks before really starting to worry.

What about the lineup effect? Didnt Bowa move him into the 4 and 5 hole this yr where last yr he hit 2nd-3rd? Am I way off on this Philly fans? Is my memory failing me in thinking he hit a little higher in the lineup last yr?
I have seen how lineup position can have a pretty big impact on a players production. Has Bowa or the Philly media said anything about the move and what he is hoping to accomplish moving a typical top of the order hitter to more of a protection hitter spot?

BTW - anything that management or local media have said about Bowa and his lineup selections would be helpful here. I think this might be a big issue for the team right now, not to mention the fantasy impact it has. I would like to learn more if anyone has insight.

Thanks.
