How bad is my hitting?

Postby wp001g » Sun Mar 16, 2003 11:16 pm

League is a 14 team 5x5 AL & NL Keeper League. My OF is weak but does my corner infield make up for it? Overall, how am I looking? I think pretty good.

C Kendall, Jason $27
1B Giambi, Jason $33
2B Walker, Todd $24
3B Pujols, Albert $31
SS Guzman, Christian $21
MI Hairston Jr., Jerry $13
CI Pena, Carlos $16
OF1 Giles, Brian $31
OF2 Kearns, Austin $13
OF3 Garcia, Karim $5
OF4 Sanchez, Alex $5
OF5 Bradley, Milton $1
U Thomas, Frank $32

SP1 Maddux, Greg $32
SP2 Wood, Kerry $31
SP3 Mulder, Mark $30
SP4 Clement, Matt $5
SP5 Brown, Kevin $33
RP1 Baez, Danys $10
RP2 Gagne, Eric $7
P Eaton, Adam $5
B Contreas, Jose $7
B Ainsworth, Kurt $5
B Pavano, Carl $3
B Bonderman, Jeremy $2
B Harden, Rich $1
B Anderson, Matt $5
B German, Franklyn $5

Farm Larson, Brandon
Farm Mauer, Joe
Farm Peavy, Jake
Farm Reyes, Jose
Farm Teixiera, Mark

Farm system players do not appreciate until they are called up to the majors. I don't think I will call anyone up this year, except maybe Larson if Pena sucks.

Kevin Brown cost more than Greg Maddux and as much as Giambi? Is that normal in auction leagues?

It's actaully a draft league with dollar values assigned to the rounds. Brown was taken this year in the first round thus his high price. Giambi was taken in the first round last year and appreciated to the dollar value in the first round this year. Does this make sense?

I see how they get their values now but whats the point in assigning a value if you draft.

Its a keeper league and we have a salary cap and player appreciation. You have $435 to spend on 29 players. While players appreciate $4 every year. Some people didn't want an auction so this is what we came up with.
