Does anybody know anything about this guy? How often do the Cubs plan on using him? Although his era was mediocre in the minors, his k/bb ratio was well over 2/1 (686/289). Any input would be appreciated.

I guess we will find out more about him today.
He's in for Zambrano in the first innings against the Pirates.

On Feburary 2, 2009, the Oakland Athletics acquired pitcher Michael Wuertz from the Chicago Cubs for outfielder Richie Robnett and infielder Justin Sellers.

As of today with Oakland he's got 22.2 IP, 19K, only 4BB, 2W, 2S, and 1.99ERA and 0.84ERA.
