Need Help with Final Keepers

Postby tnbrave » Mon Feb 25, 2019 2:01 pm

I'm in a 10-team H2H weekly points league that penalizes batters for strikeouts (-1 point for each K). We also have limited moves; however, we have 8 Keepers. No cost or penalty. My choices are as follows:

1B: Hoskins
SS: T. Turner
3B: Rendon
OF: Trout
SP: Scherzer
Nola
Carrasco

These are ones I'm pretty certain with; however, I some other players worth considering for that final spot:

Bellinger
Realmuto
Greinke
Strasburg

Who should be my final Keeper? Or would you keep someone else besides the top 7?

WHIR

Thanks!

Can you help here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=496986

If you start 2 catchers I think it fairly close between the 2 hitters, which are ahead of the 2 pitchers. Without knowing who had more points last year I like Bellingers future better than Realmuto's, but for this year they could be close again

Thanks. No, we start 1 Catcher, 4 SP's, 3 OFs, and 1 DH each week. No CI spots. Does that change anything?

I’d go Bellinger but wouldn’t be mad at Realmuto.

Bellinger without a doubt. Realmuto is good, but catchers can get hurt and be worthless too easily.

Thanks everyone. I'm actually thinking about just keeping 2 SPs (we start 4) instead of 3--so that would mean Carrasco would not be kept. That would leave me with the following as Keepers:
Trout
Scherzer
T. Turner
Nola
Rendon
Hoskins

The final two would be two of the following:
Realmuto (given that C has gotten weaker overall with Perez's injury)
Carpenter
Bellinger

Or if I decided to go SP, I would choose one from the following (and one from the above hitters):
Carrasco
Greinke
Strasburg

So who should final 2 Keepers be given that I plan to keep the 6 above? Thanks. WHIR

Can't go wrong with 2 of Carrasco Bellinger & Realmuto; I'm always leary of catcher keepers and the first year of changing teams but those are your best bets
