Please Pick my Final 3 Keepers

Postby BBguru » Fri Feb 22, 2019 12:33 pm

Hi,

I'm in a standard 5X5 roto keeper league with $260 team salary and 8 keepers. We only roster one Catcher, DH, 1B, CI, MI, 2B, SS, 5 OFs, 9 Picthers.

Can you please help me choose my final 3 keepers from this group below. I have included their keeper salaries.

Definitely keeping as my first 5:
2B - Gleyber Torres $6
OF - J.D. Martinez $20
OF - Juan Soto $5
P - Walker Buehler $5
P - Patrick Corbin $1

Can you help me pick 3 from this group to keep?
P - Jose Berrios $10
3B -Nick Senzel $1
OF - Victor Robles $1
DH - Francisco Mejia C $1
SS - Fernando Tatis $5

I would think Robles heads the 2nd group. Berrios @$10 seems in. You don't have any other expensive player that might go for $5-10 more this year and would be worth the big cost? You have plenty of value already here, a $25 player that might go for more than that still has value even if his contract isn't inexpensive. Senzel at a buck in a big league is fine, in a 10 or 12 teamer notsomuch

Thanks so much. So do you like Tatis Jr? People seem to think he’s a future triple crown threat. And this is a 12 team keeper league.

I'd go with

Robles
Berrios
and Tatis Jr. (but you might have to wait tell June for his services) could be GOLD long term.

If you don't like the ARM in Berrios then I'd go with Senzel.

Please help and thanks

He K's too much for a good AVG right now, I'm not totally sure he deserves a spot in leagues that keep 96 but sometimes that is what you have to do with top prospects. If you have a decent size bench he is worth holding, especially vs the other options you have and at that price

Agree, Robles and Berrios are no brainers. For the final one, if you are trying to win this year, I'd go with Senzel, as he may get a full season in the bigs. If you are looking long-run, Tatis is the pick, but you may get nothing this year.

Can you help? Thx. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=496986

I would probably go Berrios, Rubles, and Tatis. But you can make an argument for Senzel.

Help with mine?

Berrios, Robles, and Tatis. Senzel is close 4th, but I think he is last one kept out.
