Pick 4 Keepers

Postby rickjamess » Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:13 pm

I have to pick 4 keepers in a ten team head to head points league. We start a C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, U and 5 SP and 2 RPs. We have a 5 person bench. These are my options:

Ronald Acuna - 6th round
Lorezo Cain - 10th
Cody Bellinger - 12th
Javier Baez - 13th
Matt Chapman - 15th
Patrick Corbin - 16th
Walker Buehler - 15th
German Marquez - 16th

Feeling like Acuna, Baez are no brainers. Trying to decide between Bellinger, Chapman, Buehler, Corbin and Marquez for remaining two.

Do you lose a pick in the round you keep them or just pick the best 4? It is either Acuna Bell Baez & Buehler/round or Nola/best

i lose the pick in that round. I tentatively have Acuna, Baez, Corbin and Buehler, but wanted the forums perspective. Bellinger scares me. I kept him last couple years with later round since players move up 3 rounds each year and him sitting against lefties late last year seems like a risky option.

You have 5 great options for 4 spots, Bellinger is 23, still a top 50 draft pick in new drafts. I'd have a tough time throwing a young bat like that back in the draft rather than a 2nd arm in your 4 keepers

Tough call and I can see your point. I think last year is bellinger’s floor so I should see where he ended up. If you kept bellinger would you keep Corbin or buehler?

Corbin was pitching for a new contract and he had a great year; that is really the only great year he has had in the last 5. I prefer Buehler going forward

Aaron Nola - picked in 3rd round of 2019 draft Great player but you may be able to redraft him
Ronald Acuna - 6th round ;-D ;-D A no brainer
Lorezo Cain - 10th valuable but not at this price over the others
Cody Bellinger - 12th ;-D Too much upside to let get away
Javier Baez - 13th ;-D Still improving
Patrick Corbin - 16th I'd definitely prefer Buehler
Walker Buehler - 15th ;-D Could be the ace of the Dodgers by this time next year
German Marquez - 16th You will have a chance to get him in your draft

Thanks in advance everyone!

Thanks for the help. You guys really have me thinking that Bellinger is the pick over Corbin. So Acuna, Baez, Bellinger, and Buehler.

Forgot to mention that Matt Chapman is a possibility in the 15th round too. Would you rather have Bellinger in the 12th or Chapman in the 15th?
