H2H Points League Keeper Help

Postby rickjamess » Wed Feb 28, 2018 6:49 pm

I am in a 10 team head to head points league that allows us to keep 4 players from our 2017 roster. Each keeper must must move up 3 rounds from the prior years draft or if they were a free agent pickup then they are taken in round 15. If you keep multiple free agent pickups they slot in at 15, 14, 13, etc.

Here are my options with the round I would have to take them in 2018. I will be drafting #8 in round one.

I must pick 4 from this list.

Mookie Betts (Round 1 Pick #8)
Freddie Freeman (Round 1 Pick #8)
Cody Bellinger (Round 15 Pick #8)
Whit Merrified (Round 15 Pick #8)
Jonathan Schoop (Round 18 Pick #3)
Carlos Carrasco (Round 2 Pick #3)
Rafael Devers (Round 15 Pick #8)
Eddie Rosario (Round 15 Pick #8)
DJ LeMahieu (Round 12 Pick #3)
Gary Sanchez (Round 11 Pick #8)
Robbie Ray (Round 15 Pick #8)
Aaron Nola (Round 15 Pick #8)
Matt Olson (Round 15 Pick #8)

Thanks for the help!

This and I would be inclined to go with Nola.

Mookie Betts (Round 1 Pick #8) Great to have but at this spot I'd take Freeman
Freddie Freeman (Round 1 Pick #8) ;-D No way he's available if you don't keep him
Cody Bellinger (Round 15 Pick #8) ;-D ;-D no brainer
Whit Merrified (Round 15 Pick #8) :-t
Carlos Carrasco (Round 2 Pick #3) too costly
Rafael Devers (Round 15 Pick #8) just misses my cut
Eddie Rosario (Round 15 Pick #8) :-t
DJ LeMahieu (Round 12 Pick #3) :-t
Gary Sanchez (Round 11 Pick #8) ;-D must keep
Robbie Ray (Round 15 Pick #8) I wouldn't take a P over these hitters
Aaron Nola (Round 15 Pick #8) I wouldn't take a P over these hitters
Matt Olson (Round 15 Pick #8) ;-D I would give him a slight edge over Devers, very slight.

Thanks for the help!

If you can keep both Betts and Freeman in rounds 1 & 2 you keep Betts over Olsen but It doesn't look like you can from the way you posted it. They will both be gone before you get to pick in all likelihood.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I forgot to include one other keeper possibility which is Jonathan Schoop at round 18. Man this is going to be tough to pick just 4!

Schoop is your 4th
Bellinger/Sanchez locks
Ray is only one even debatable

So your four are:

Bellinger
Schoop
Sanchez
Olson or Ray coin flip.

Correct?

Bellinger/Sanchez are locks No one can have any argument against those 2.
So that leaves 2 spots
Schoop would be my 3rd
Ray my 4th
I like Olson/Merrifield/Nola/Devers, but no spot.
Betts/Freeman seem crazy, given, you can get a good player with your 1st.
It comes down imo, to you liking Schoop/Ray
