the only place juan has gone is down the toilet. whats up with him? any news? i drafted him thinkin that he is great when he plays and then he will go on the DL for a long stretch. but he is playing healthy now (i think

) and he is not hitting well. his BA was pretty good until the last few days, but what concerns me is that all of his hits are singles. absolutely no power! very odd. what do you guys think? will he turn it around? is this just a slump or something bigger? not panicking, just want your take on this.

His power didnt magicaly disapear. As long as he is keeping his average up and healthy he will be a fine starter. I need catcher help and just offered him up for Lieberthal for what thats worth. Dont know if the other owner will give me Lieberthal though.
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."

Yeah, I'm a little worried as well. I drafted him in the 12 round of my draft and felt like I got a steal. But his lack of production isn't good. The only thing I would say is that you have to stick with him--too much potential. I wouldn't go trading him away for a lesser player after a week+, either. If anything, stick him on your bench until you see a sign of life. But giving him another couple weeks -- unless you can get full value for him in a trade.

uh, rynman, you just dont get it. THIS IS A FORUM. PEOPLE COME HERE TO TALK ABOUT BASEBALL. people discuss players that are doing well and players that are starting off slow. im not going crazy because he isnt producing. all i asked was for some opinions. he had a crappy spring too. so far, his power isnt there. WHY IS IT SO WRONG TO DISCUSS THIS? why do you feel that its necessary to comment on people getting worried so early? if you dont like certain threads, dont post in them. i just wanted to start some discussion and speculation about him. arent these forums all about speculation?
just chill and have fun!
