Any Bostonians or baseball knowledge people heard anything about when he is projected to return? Last I heard it was May but that was a while ago.

early to mid-May as far as i know but like with any other injury its sorta unclear... the Sox website says hes "at least a week away from resuming any baseball activity"

Apr 14 According to Red Sox manager Terry Francona, Garicaparra continues to make progress in his recovery from right Achilles tendinitis, but the process is going a bit slower than expected. The team has not set a timetable for the shortstop's return to the lineup.
Advice: Pokey Reese will remain at short until Garciaparra is activated from the disabled list, while Mark Bellhorn will see most of the starts at second base for Boston.

That's the latest from Yahoo. Hopefully he returns soon to help out the Sox.
