My team - Outfield help

Here is my team. I'm in an 8-team all mlb league.

First off, what do u think? It looks to me like I could use outfielders (Manny left me in a bit of a pickle) and high average and basestealing players. I was tryin to get Ichiro, who do u think i should try to trade for him? It seems silly to me to have such an excess of pitching when i could get some outfield help but I'm having trouble makin trades. Any ideas?

Great team! Not much to gripe abou, although you're right, an of with speed and a high average would be nice. Ichiro would be a great fit (try offering Prior?), but it might be easier to land someone like Johnny Damon, perhaps by offering Stewart plus one of your lesser sp's. If you can find someone who's willing to take a chance on Kevin Brown, that might also work for you. With that pitching staff, you can afford to be flexible in pursuing this deal.

it turns out the guy who has ichiro has an interest in prior...

i tried this trade:

I get:Ichiro and Freddy Garcia

He gets:Prior and Tejada

Do u think this is a good trade? I dont know how valuble prior should be considered. Will he be better than Freddy?

Looks like a good trade for you. Yes, I actually think Prior will be at least equal to Garcia, but maybe I'm just buying the hype. Still, Garcia is safer, and Ichiro looks like a great fit for your team.

If it doesn't work out, I would actually keep Prior and trade Glavine. Glavine's value is at a peak right now. You could probably do the deal straight up for Ichiro.

Glavine is doing awesome right now, but I don't expect him to stay so hot. He's always faded a bit in the past. He'll be decent for the rest of the year, but he will not be as good as he is right now. Prior should only get better as he learns the ropes.

Unless you're scared of Pedro's arm acting up again, I wouldn't do this. Having Ichiro would be nice, of course, but you don't need him that badly. Try looking elsewhere, possibly in the direction of Pierre, for instance. Another option would be to try for a speed-only 2b such as Castillo, who you could platoon with Boone depending on whether you can use a stolen base infusion.

good ideas. castillo and pierre are on the same team. the guy is loaded with speedsters. i think i will definitely go after one of them.
