Does anyone know what his situatuin is? Is he the closer until he bloes a save? Or is it a closer by comitee thing?

Well, Aquilino has been working as a set-up man.

Ligtenberg got an opp and blew it against Boston.

Speier has been pitching well all year (and pitched well at Coors last year). I don't know what sort of leash he's on, but I think he'll be closing, at least for now. I really think he's going to be the closer for the year.

I think it is still up in the air....I think Speier has the best opportunity to take the closer role to himself, but I still think Lightenberg is going to get some save chances as well. Lopez is the odd man out, and I don't think he is even an option anymore (he is not the setup man, as he has come in the 6th inning twice already)
