Schmidt (shoulder/elbow) will get his first start on Friday as the Giants begin a three-game series against Los Angeles at SBC Park, according to the Team's Official Website.

Schmidt was examined by team physician Ken Akuzuki and pronounced medically sound. "I don't even know what's normal anymore," said Schmidt before finding out that he would pitch Friday. "I don't know what's normal or pain. I've been under the microscope but I have to see what I feel like in a game to know."
He's pitching against the dodgers, so I think I'll take the risk...
