I'd have kept Blalock and traded Ensberg. Too many risks around him and old Jimy's magic 8 ball is one of them.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
How can you bench a guy 1 1/2 weeks into the season.. He hasn't even played but 5 games????? what does this guy expect, so come fresh right out of spring training batting .300??

Especially a young guy who could use his managers vote of confidence.

Young? He's 29. Kinda old to just now being able to show major league ability, isn't it? Only had 139 major league at bats before turning 28. Another reason why he was a gamble this year.

gave up on Ensberg and got Hinske. Hinske will put up better numbers and play everyday. Ensberg looke like he had potential, but as a platoon player he is crap.

Hes still young in experience, and ill admit, he was nothing close to a sure thing. But Jimy not playing him every day doesnt help. Hes in the lineup today at least.
williams is simply overmanaging. thinking too much if you want to call it that. some of these managers take the lefty-righty thing way too far. just let ensberg play every day, he earned the job slugging away last year.
there was another thread on this where they noted that Vizcaino was something like 10/ 11 lifetime against the pitcher they were facing which sort of might justify the move. As soon as they pulled the pitcher, Ensberg went in to PH and play.
I'm not too happy about Williams either. I had a VERY hard time 'fantasy managing' Dotel last year b/c it was almost impossible to guess when he'd go in. He did rack up some good innings but it was a pain.
