You guys are missing the point of the guest. It is a way for registered users to hide their ID from others in their league that may be combing through posts. If I am asking about a trade on here...I do not want a third party member of my league to start battling me for that guy because he realizes I am getting a good deal.
What should be done...is make everyone register and then have a way to hide your ID. Lots of the guests on here are just too lazy to sign up, so I am sure they would not go out of their way to use a hide function.

it is also useful for people who only drop in once every couple of weeks to ask about trades...that way they do not need to remember a password or login.

why dont you just get an alternate ID to ask questions like that. The thing i hate about Guests writing is when they trash registered users posts and obviously since nobody knows who the hell they are they dont have to be accountable for it

there are registered guests that do the same thing. I have bashed people before, I do not feel any allegiance to some retard because he signed up for an account. I spend some serious time on the ESPN webboards during college basketball, so I am probably immune to most of the stupid comments that bother you guys

Go spend a month there and you will not even notice the guests comments anymore.

yeah...I know, it somehow dictates that you are a more knowledgable person because you "post" a lot.

How is anyone on here accountable for what they say? Just because you signed up for a free membership, made up a fake name and post messages your accountable? What does that mean - if you say something stupid, who cares if it came from someone named "Kulcat" or "Guest".
I think this whole discussion is retarded. Who cares.

Being able to put a name to the post is impotant for reasons that have already been stated in the other thread. They are good reasons and really should'nt have to be repeated here. Please read the LONG thread and understand the whole story.
If you do say something stupid at least then people here know who to avoid for future advice. Its pretty obvious really.
