Yeah, I assumed as much, but one of my teams is desperately hurting for a first base man--Please don't laugh, but i have Durazo and J.Phillips.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA. Sorry, but that is horrible. 1B is one of the easiest positions to fill, how long did you wait to grab one? Anyway if your hurting that bad at 1st it means - or it should - that you are very strong in other areas. Try to pull a package deal for an upgrade, not really hard to upgrade from Durazo but every little bit helps. Also just keep checking the waiver wire, sometimes you'd be surprised the gold people think is junk and decide to drop. Good luck and good night.

Yeah, it is not pretty. I took over this team in a freezer league. To complicate matters, we draft by position with an auto-draft--Basically, one person may have the first pick for catcher, the seventh for first base, the third for second, etc. As a result, i have this wonderful situation. At this point i have my eyes on the WW for T. Martinez, A. LaRoche, Mientkiewicz, and Olerud. If this were 1996, I'd be in great shape.[/quote]

Mientkiewicz is the best of that group, IMO. At least he won't kill your average. Just gotta keep an eye on the situation, as who knows who'll get ABs once Morneau comes up, and the catchers get healthy again.

I realize that there are very few fortune tellers on this site, but considering the fact that Morneau is tearing up the minors, how long do you think it will be till he is called up. Do you think that the Twins will try to make a trade to clear the space for him, or are we going to have to wait for a major injury?
