I know Soriano has started off kind of slow and Puljos is hot right now... but whos going to have more fantasy value in a 12 man h2h 5x5 league with categories of SB,R,RBI,AVG,HR taking into consideration position factors ect...
Today, I was proposed a HUGE trade for my money league and I really am wondering whos gonna pull thru better for me.
It looks sort of Like this...
Im giving Pujols and Kevin Brown and getting Soriano, Schilling and Javy Lopez...
Im getting - Soriano, Schilling, Javy Lopez
Im giving - Puljos and Kevin Brown
Heres my current roster... what do you guys think?
C C. Wilson (Pit - C,1B,RF)
1B A. Pujols (StL - 1B,LF)
2B M. Young (Tex - 2B)
3B H. Blalock (Tex - 3B)
SS K. Matsui (NYM - SS)
OF V. Guerrero (Ana - RF)
OF J. Pierre (Fla - CF)
OF M. Ordóñez (CWS - RF)
Util C. Crawford (TB - LF)
BN T. Hafner (Cle - 1B,DH)
BN M. Cabrera (Fla - 3B,LF)
BN J. Cruz (TB - RF)
BN M. Bradley (LA - CF)
SP D. Graves (Cin - SP)
SP K. Wells (Pit - SP)
RP J. Isringhausen (StL - RP)
RP J. Nathan (Min - RP)
P D. Riske (Cle - RP)
P C. Leskanic (KC - RP)
P K. Brown (NYY - SP)
BN C. Sabathia (Cle - SP)
BN J. Vázquez (NYY - SP)
DL J. SchmidtDL (SF - SP)
I looked at the deal and I was going to say take it but after seeing your roster I wouldn't. You don't need the SB and you would replace Pujols in your lineup with Hafner. It is a good deal but it doesn't fit with your team.
I would do it...I know what Ostrich man is saying but here is why I would do it.
Lopez is way better then Wilson (even if he does not reach last years pinnacle performance)
Brown is going to get hurt again so Schilling will be better
Soriano is a great asset to have at second.
This will create a hole for you at 1B, but you will have enough depth to fill it. There are probably a couple of teams with two good 1B man and you could get one without much of a fight.
IMO, this should be a done deal. Then once you acquire Soriano, you can flip Pierre or Crawford to someone hard up for steals and get an increased value for your team. This is a good trade just take the next step forward after it is done.
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

I would take it too, I think Lopez will be phenominal this year and doubt that Brown can keep up his pace... You need starting pitching pretty bad. Plus if you wanted, you could easily trade soriano for someone with pujols like power.

Its P-U-J-O-L-S. Sorry, but it annoys me when people misspell the name of one of the best players in the game.
I haven't read the other replies, but to the original trade post, I'd definately take the deal. Pujols is only marginally better than Soriano, but Schilling is better than Brown and is less likely to get injured. Throw in Lopez and you have a top-4 catcher. You do create a huge hole at 1B, but Soriano IMO offsets that hole and you have the depth to trade for decent 1B.
