San Juan, Puerto Rico (Sports Network) - The Montreal Expos and pitcher Livan Hernandez have agreed to a three-year contract extension.
Hernandez, who was in the final year of his current contract, is now signed through the 2007 season.
In his first season with the Expos in 2003, Hernandez went 15-10 with a 3.20 ERA in 33 starts. He led the team in wins, ERA, innings (233 1/3) and complete games (eight).
Hernandez was signed by Florida as a non-drafted free agent in 1996. He was traded to San Francisco midway through the 1999 season.
The righthander is 0-1 with a 3.46 ERA in two starts this season.
