As long as Griffey isn't whining and disgruntled I would see it as a great fit. Although I'd prefer the Mariners to get younger, they're certainly short on hitters with any kind of power - it seems the lineup is full of #2 hitters - pretty much no power whatsoever. He'd also make a nice transition to DH when Edgar finally hangs it up.

...So long as the price is right - the Mariners seem to be unwilling to give up any prospects whatsoever. Imagine what we could have received for Ryan Anderson a few years ago. Now he can pass through waivers no problemo.
