His first outing was impressive after his troubling 1st inning in which he gave up a 3-run hr to Delgado. But after that he was dominant (4 1/3 1 h/bb 8 k's). Tonight he went 6ip 5h/bb 3er 7k's against the Jays again. While some might not find it that great, I find it very encouraging for the young pitcher. He got a tad wild in the 3rd inning and hit someone who scored, take away that he only allowed 2 er. His K rate is above a SO per inning and his walk rate is done from last year (11 1/3IP 15K's 3BB's). Still not sure this is his year, but he is starting to get me thinking about it. It's hard for a 21 year old pitcher to face the same team w/ in a week and do as well as he has.

Scouts always said Bonderman had potential. I still think maroth is better but Bonderman should be pretty solid within a couple of years.

Yep, they said he has the potential after his 1st minor league year. But for someone jumping from A-ball to the majors in one year and now looks like he could take another jump in his performance this year, it's awfully quick for someone so young. Also you like Maroth more for this year or the future? If it's the future I'd disagree and say Bonderman has the much brighter future.

Maroth (in my opinion) has a pretty good slider, plus he works SO DAMN hard (not saying that Bonderman doesn't, but last year Maroth worked with many coaches to get his endurance up and velocity at a steady level). Maroth is my #3 favorite pitcher for thos of you who don't know.

Keep this up and guests will never register or even come back for that matter. He asked a legitimate question that was relative to the discussion. Sure, i dont like it when guests flood the message boards with "Yay, Dean Palmer hit a HR!" either. But dont take it out on all guests.

I do take it out on all guests. I don't see why you wouldn't just register and get it over with if you want to be a serious poster and discuss fantasy baseball in a serious way.
