Kip Wells, Brian Lawrence, Josh Fogg

I currently have Lawrence and Fogg on my team and am pretty unhappy with their recent outings.

Kip Wells is available in the FA pool and had another awesome start yesterday.

However looking at Wells' monthly splits, his ERA goes up to 5.00+ every month after May (though it was with the White Sox). But at 8-2 with a 3.00 ERA he is looking very tempting.

Is he worth picking up and dropping either Lawrence or Fogg. If so, which one should I drop, or should I just pass on Wells at this point.

Although I understand your frustration with Fogg and Lawrence, I don't think the answer is Kip Wells. He is bound to return to form. Who else is available? I think Fogg's run is over, but he might still hold some trade value. Lawrence is still a question mark in my mind.

there really isnt anyone else. im waiting to see if a trade request i made in which i would get Colon comes through, but the guy doesn't seem to be very active right now.

I picked up Mulder last year around this time when he was performing similarly to Wells and I'm hoping that Wells turns in the same kind of performance.

I like Fogg but I think he needs a little more experience to be successful

I'm not sold on Wells yet, either. His k/bb ratio is still too low, and I think this will catch up to him soon. I may be wrong, but it seems like his excellent era and wins total aren't really accurate reflections of the way he's been pitching.
