Does it count if a player is in the lineup but doesn't play?

Postby fiz » Tue Apr 13, 2004 4:43 pm

For Yahoo, does it count if a player is in the lineup but doesn't play?

What I'm saying is, say I have JD Drew in my lineup (hypothetically of course), but he sits out because his hammy is hurting. Does this count towards my total games played at OF? Do I need to empty the slot? What about if he pinch hits, or pinch runs, or plays OF in the 9th?

This may be a silly question, but thanks!

should not count....but if he steps on the field for one second then it counts. Happened to me in a basketball league...guy only logged 2 minutes, totally sucked.

If he pinch hits or runs while in your lineup, that definitely counts.

It shouldn't count if he doesn't play at all, but I'm not positive that yahoo scores that correctly.

I had Ensberg earlier and when he was benched for Mike Lamb the entire game, it did not count as a 3B start for me. But when I started Lieberthal the other day and he pinch hit later in the game, that counted. Don't know what happens if someone is a defensive replacement and does not hit, but I bet it counts as a start.
