Thats a pretty nice situation to be in - a top 3 SS coming off the bench, and a great sleeper filling in. Personally, I would wait until Nomar comes back before you did anything. By that time you will have gotten a better understanding of Kaz real value.
Everybody else will have a guage on his real value too, which might be a reason to let him go now while people think he's a top 5 SS. If you can get somebody good for him now, by all means do it. But if not, and people in your league are weary about trading for him, keep him. It'd be nice to keep him until Nomar gets back, but if you can get more for him in a trade now, it might be wise to do that, and upgrade another part of your lineup.

I guess I can start shopping him high right now...and just see what happens. I think K Matsui for Sosa will be a good place to start since my team name is the Slammin' Sammies, I should have my name sake on the team!
Will the big gap affect you too much? Will your ss be healthy the whole year? Will matsui value increase?
If you think the answer is no, go right ahead and trade him. Its a 50/50 chance that his value increases or decreases. He is like stock. It increases or decreases.
kind of off the subject but, I've got Kaz and Berroa and can't decide witch on of them I should try to trade. I was thinking berroa is trade bait, but you guys are making it sound like Kaz is not going to shake out to be that good. With that said, who do you think I should get rid of Kaz or Berroa?
I think we know what we're going to get from Berroa. Kaz could either be really good, or really bad. Or somewhere in the middle. He looks good so far, so it might be smart to deal him. I don't think he'll be as good as most do, but that's just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
