I want to take a trip out to chicago in June to see a game... maybe June 10ths game versus the Cardinals...
the website says the game is sold out... does anyone know any good ways to get tix? do they sell "day of game tix" at the ball park the morning of the game like they do at fenway? or are there any good sites with tix?
1.) Ask your boss for a raise. or 2.) Spend a year's salary.
Good luck. I spent 9 hours online on the day they went on sale waiting to get the sets of tickets I did. After going through that, I feel die hard.
Nice job on getting tickets. I had that stupid Virtual Waiting Room on from 10:30am until 6:00pm and got nothing. I bite my tongue for saying this, but it was much easier to get tickets when the Cubs stunk! I'll take a World Series trophy if it means having to watch all the games on tv this season any day

I live right outside of chicago and have had 3 different friends just go to the box office when they open (9:00am) and all have been able to get tix. One got 10th row behind the plate for $40! All the tickets are sold out on the net, but most are resold by scalpers or given back by companies that don't use them. If your going to be in chicago already, what do you have to lose?

That's good to know. Thanks for the info!
My buddy scored some tix for a friend so I will actually get to a game after all. Saturday, August 28 vs. the Astros. Bleachers. Should be an awesome game!
You can get tix online through most any ticket broker. It will cost you though. There is a broker office at the corner of Addison and Sheffield, if you want to try when you're in Chicago. Last resort, Try the ticket office game day (corner of Addison and Clarke). Players wives, corps, and season ticket holders give up tickets fairly often. Not likely for a Card game. Oh finally, The Cubs website also has a page where season ticket holders sell tix they aren't gonna use.
If you try to get tix gameday at Wrigley Field and can't, you can watch the game at the Cubbie Bear (Southwest corner Addison and Clarke) It is directly across the street from McDonalds and Wrigley.
You can also watch the game at Sluggers which is about a hundred yards south of the Cubbie Bear on Clarke. Another hot spot is Murphies (Northeast corner of Sheffield and Waveland). It is across the street from the right center outfield of the park.

Go Cubbies!!!
I prefer to watch games at Bernies when I'm there. Its at the corner of Clarke and Waveland I believe.
