Stock up on NY Yankee Players

Postby BabyBoomer » Tue Apr 13, 2004 3:04 pm

You know how a good team increases a players value. Look at the Braves last year. All of their players value increased because of their lineup. I am telling you, the yankees will soon blow the lid out of the baseball and yankee players with low fantasy value like matsui and bernie might increase in value dramaticly.

What do you think?

I agree. Find some sucker who's down on the Yanks' slow start and get as many Yankees as you can. They are gonna pound all of the lousy pitchers eventually. It won't be long before we start seeing scores like 13-2 and 15-4. Stats are abound for the Yankee hitters!

Ya, people in my league are pretty down on several Yankee players. Bernie Williams was just dropped and I am trying to pick him up, but I have the seventh priority so I don't know if I have a chacne at getting him.

however...guy in my league drafted tons of yankees (and not all the best ones like Arod, Sheff, Giambi, Vazquez) but has most of the rest and I suspect a rough season for him. Diversity is a good thing.

The thing with the yankees is that even a bench player who can get on base his share of the time has the chance to get 100 runs. A guy like Matsui with all the rbi oportunities he is going to get has a chance to get way over 110 RBI.

The mets are getting 10 runs a game and they are not half the yankee line-up. Their worst player has a chance to get a fair number of RBI and 100+ runs.
