i dunno, its hard to say. in 1994, he was drafted 1st round (1st overall) by the New York Mets. means something right? made his rookie debut in 96, then didnt pitch in the majors again until 2000 (dunno why), and only started 7 games that year. so really hes had like 3 solid years under his belt. his 1.43 career whip scares me, but so far in his first 2 starts, he's been solid.

Injuries were the reason he sat out for so long. Hes just another #3 or 4 now on most clubs at best. Hes a good short term fix imo but in the long term he will have an era in the high 4's.
