Will Furcal come around?

Postby athakkar » Tue Apr 13, 2004 10:11 am

dissaspointing start for Furcal, as it seems like every other Braves player is hitting well except him. Will this guy come around? Also what's with his injury? Have the opportunity to pick up P.Wilson on Pittsburgh, as I really need some numbers. Any opinions?

Sore back - looks like it will be ok, do you mean Jack Wilson? He'd be a solid stopgap but no where near the value of Furcal

It is all a matter of health with Furcal. Once he is healthy he will start putting up numbers.

Even if he was healthy he wasnt going to come close to approaching last yrs stats. He was playing way over his head and Sheffield's presence only helped hide that. JD isnt giving him as much cover. I say he doesnt reach 100 Runs, hits maybe 5-6 HRs, 20 SBs, bats .280 - probably one of the most overrated SSs in fantasy. If you can deal him - do it.

I was more than happy when I was able to trade away Furcal and Lieberthal for Vazquez. :-D But that was until Jose Reyes's hamstring started acting up. :-t Khalil Greene seems to be doing good in his place so far though. ;-D

Oye, such mixed emotions.
