It seems like lot of people are picking up Betancourt and I have been thinking about it too, but is he even the next in line to close if Riske continues to struggle? Don't they also have Jose Jimenez? Would he be givin a shot?

nobody knows....they are picking him up in hopes he will be given a chance, but it is anyones guess what is going to happen. The situation is getting as cloudy as it is in Toronto.
Myself though? I think Riske is still the closer, but one more hiccup in the near future is going to cost him the closer job.

His numbers might look alright in the box scores, but if you've watched the games he hasn't looked very impressive. He's been brought in during clutch situations with runners already on late in the game with the lead, and has given up base hits to drive in runs each time. These runs might not count towards his ERA now, but he definitely doesn't look he has the stuff yet to be dependable. I'm in a 12 team league with very thin pitching, and even I'm not desperate enough to pick up Betancourt.

Relax, Riske will get things together. It's not like any of their other options for closer are much better.
