Had to drop Erstad as I was not willing to drop Tom Gordon just in case Rivera goes down.

Riske keep blowing up so my man can get a shot!!!

Anyone else making this move??? ;-D

Nope...not yet. Still too soon. He ended the game today with a strikeout after allowing one run. If you watched the game, he really didn't look that bad. He will be fine this year I think...he was great last year, and he's still young and learning. Why give the job to an unproven Betancourt until you are SURE Riske doesn't have what it takes? Once they take the job from Riske, I don't see them ever being able to use him as a closer again, as his confidence won't be there. Betancourt just got the promotion to setup, so now if they can just get Riske pitching to his ability, they will have a nice bullpen. Not great, but good.

So you dont think it is worth a shot as I have him stored on my bench for now. I dropped Erstad cause he will never see my active line up barring serious injury.

They were my 1st 2 picks in the draft.

It's fine to pick him up...all I'm saying is for people to NOT drop Riske to do it. I dropped Erstad a couple days ago too, I thought he was going to have a comeback season, but his .200 average prior to today (I see he already has a double tonight) did nothing for my lineup. Erstad will be a little more valuable when he picks up 1B eligibility. I'm not saying you made a mistake, it's smart, just don't drop Riske to do it because I don't think the closer switch will happen for a while.

Gotcha.

I dont have Riske. I am one of those guys that just picks up the scraps with closers & most trade them. I very unpopularly punt on Saves to use SPs with RP elibility to seal up WINS & Ks, really focus on my offense. I understand the reasons why not to do it, but hey it won me my 12 team roto league last year.

Good Luck.
