Cafe Challenge Update

Postby mrmarley » Mon Apr 12, 2004 7:42 pm

Well, we're now 1 week in, and Jackal leads the pack w/ 92 pts.

His squad has put on an offensive show with 41 R's, 16 longballs and 49 RBI's 8-o , ....we can't stop him right now, and only Fly-Swatters can hope to contain him. Still 175 days of reg season baseball left...it's all about the steady climb, right? (or so I hope) :-)

To my credit, I lead the category for most WW moves by picking a player up and then brilliantly, 1 day later dropping the same player for someone else. I guess drafting Nomaah, Mauer, Pettite and MacDougal hasn't helped either :-P

Anyway, I thought some members might find these Cafe Challenge updates interesting...I'll try to post them every Monday...

I'd like to know who's on Jackal's team so I can see if he's the real deal :-)

Looks like Jackal's got an early leg up on his little side-bet with Erboes. 8-o

He's got a good team, keeping in mind that everyone is knowledgable in this 12-team league, most mgrs picks in the draft were pretty good w/ few "low-radar" players slipping to later rds.
