the tying run has to be on deck when the pitcher comes in in order to get the save. the fact that the tying run eventually came up doesnt give riske the save, it just means he pitched bad.

Yeah he didn't qualify for a save; and you can't count creating your own mess. Did anyone see the game? Man he has just been grooving the ball to people.

Anyone see the game, and be able to tell me who Riske and Betancourt actually looked, above and beyond the box score?

well I dropped Valverde for Craig Wilson (I have Lieberthal and need a stopgap for now) instead of Riske, but I'm sitting Riske on the bench for now.
