our positive views that are expressed on forums in a baseball cafe leak into his mind and he gets giddy, throwing off his pitches
however, all positive/negative shouting AT THE STADIUM has no effect on the pitcher pitching, and it is only the hope of fantasy fans that will determine how he does.
also, i was going to be happy with a 3.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP but that wasnt reached, shucks

my thoughts exactly
oh well, I have Webb on my squad, but I'm not arrogant enough to believe anything I do/say/think/write will actually affect how he pitches on the mound.
You guys are right... you shouldn't post during the pitcher's outing, because between the 5th and 6th innings Brandon Webb went in to the clubhouse, got out his laptop, logged on to the cafe, read this post and suddenly became very nervous.
i just find it silly that people make posts about pitchers after they've thrown about 2 innings and didn't give up too much... they have to pitch at least 3 more to get the decision... they might get tired, get injured... wait till the pitcher leaves the game and then comment about what they did... if you really want to post about a pitcher while he is pitching, say something about what the pitches look like, radar gun readings... is the splitter going down or staying up etc... most of us are capable of reading the box score too, ya know... and save your namecalling for your family and friends, I did nothing to insult you.
I guess that reply was aimed at the Guest who initially posted. I'll just add that Webb had completed 5 innings at the time of the post, so he was in line for the decision. I suppose I don't understand how the initial post was out of line...other than that you think it's just stupid. It was just a guy who was excited that Webb was doing well for his fantasy squad and was looking for some mutual excitement from fellow Webb owners.
