4 HRs and batting over .300. Are the new hitting coach and clearly defined role really helping or is this just a hot streak?

I don't agree with any of your options. If given the ABs, he will mash 40, but I don't expect much more than a .250 average, if that. He will perform like a healthy Troy Glaus.

good point about my options. i thought about adding more, but i wanted to keep it simple so as to not scare off people that are in a hurry. if you disagree with these options, please feel free to post something in between, greater, or lesser. i may run another poll later with more options.

any more opinions out there? I can totally understand if you aren't interested in the topic that you wouldn't read it, but I'll never understand why so many people would read a poll and not bother to respond. Whatever, but please take a second to respond and let me know if you are looking for any feedback.

I agree with stumpak, he could mash 30+ easily in my opinion but i don't think he'll be able to hit above .275 i'd settle for .250 the round i got him (17) but i think he'll hit around .230-245 this season

I think he'll improve now that Bob Boone is gone. Avg. was down last year because (1) injuries and (2) Bob boone told him to walk less and then tried him at leadoff.

I voted for "break-out," but I think he'll hit more like 40 HRs and have a .255 average. So somewhere in between those two options.
