Definitely leave him alone. Hes a Colorado pitcher with a lifetime ERA of 4.5 (over 5 last year with the Cubs).

stay away from him. For some reason he is the the #5 on the buzz index for Yahoo, a bunch of people are picking him up. Dont go along with the flock and pick up that bum. Im sure there are better starters out there, like Matt Riley, Vogelsong, Vincent Zambrano,

I've been playing Estes.

So far he's gotten me 2 wins, 1.29 ERA, and 0.71 WHIP in 14 innings. Only 4 Ks though.

This guy is a fantasy monster.

He's a free agent in my yahoo public league. I posted a message on the message board telling everyone how good he's doing. I was hoping that someone would pick him up and watch their team explode.

Estes is an enigma. He has very good stuff (including an absolutely wicked curveball), but he can get frazzled pretty easily. So he can look like an ace one game, then come back as a disaster the next game. That's why the Giants and Mets both gave up on him.
"One of the teams represents truth, justice, the American way, and underdogs everywhere. The other represents George Steinbrenner!" - U.S. News and World Reports columnist John Leo on the difference between the Mets and the Yankees.
