With all things being equal ( Weaver assured a spot in the rotation)
who'd you rather have in a 5X5 H2H league, Jeff Weaver or Josh Beckett??

I would call this one a tossup, maybe slight edge to Beckett. Beckett will probably have better ERA and WHIP, but Weaver will get more wins. It depends on what your team's needs are....

In a standard 5x5 league Beckett will probably have the better ERA, K's and whip, Weaver might get more wins. I say Beckett.

Weaver or Beckett

I agree that it is a virtual toss-up. However, two things to consider. Beckett's inconsistency derives from being injured(blisters)...Weaver is just plain streaky. Secondly, the Boss didn't pay Contreras all that money to be a middle reliever, so when he get's going Weaver is possibly going to lose his spot unless another Yankee starter is injured or traded. Long story short.....I think I would take Beckett.

Contreras will be in the pen this year and fill in for injuries. Unless Weaver really stinks and Contreras dominates, Weaver is safe in the rotation.

That being said, I like Beckett better.

Beckett hands down, he could easily have over 200k's, a sub 3.00ERA with a low whip, his wins will probably be between 12-16 but weaver wont post k's, ERA, or WHIP near what beckett could.
