most of the leagues ive been in the managers have been pretty sensible so i don't have any over the top ones but someone last month offered me Richard Aurilla straight up for lil' Matsui... his point was that Aurilla's gonna get more pitches to hit in the no. 2 hole in SEA (like he didn't get enough pitches hitting in front of BaRRY bONDs

)
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Well my worst trade offered to me came back to me because the guy felt insulted by my offer. I offered him Jason Giambi,T.Hunter for Beltran. He has Nevin at 1B and was telling the league he wanted a 1B. Upon that offer he laughed at me and turned around and offered me Alomar for Soriano. I told the guy to have a good season and dont make me any more offers again.

Last year I was offered Reggie Sanders, Lidle, Aramis Ramirez, Borowski and Steve Finley for Pujols.
LOL!! That is too funny!! There are a couple of guys in our league who are always offering 3 for one or 4 for two sort of deals and I can't even take them seriously most of the time. It simply is not reasonable to offer 3 'C' players for one 'A' Player or whatever. Then they whine that you are not any fun because you 'won't deal'. Puleeese. I have to admit I've not seen a 5 for one though...

My favorite are the owners who won't give up. They offer three bench players for one superstar and when you reject it, they offer three different players. I guess they're hoping to stumble on someone I really want to warm my bench. In one league I got frustrated and posted a message to not offer me any more trades (this after an offer of a 17th and 21st rounder for my 5th and 10th rounders).
It's time to roll the dice.

Nothing is wrong with offering some solid, bench players for good starters. The trick is offering enough. I just put in this offer:
BN M. Byrd (Phi - CF)
P S. Estes (Col - SP)
for
OF C. Beltrán (KC - CF)
