Which one of these scrubs is the best?

I am in a tight 12 team nl league and i need to pick up another hurler because it looks like Simontacchi is going to be sent down. It is too bad because he is pitching well.

Would you waive Simontacchi for any of these guys? If so which ones?

5X5 except K-bb instead of K's

1. J. Wright -Mil
2. N. Neugerbauer-Mil (injured by has potential)
3. N. Figueroa-Mil (may lose his job when Neugerbauer comes back)
4. J. Bere-Chi (Either he or J. Cruz is gonna lose out w/Prior)
5. T. Stottlemyre (He is on the DL but could be ok)

I think Figuera and Bere are the only healthy ones on that list. If you need to rely on one of these guys.....YIKES!

Yikes is right. I'd keep Simontacchi and wait and see what happens. It's not yet certain he'll be sent down.

If you do have to choose one of the five you listed, either take Neugebauer for his upside, or Bere for his health.

Bere did pitch well the last time out, and Baylor has been quoted as saying he didn't want Jason to get the idea that he had to pitch great everytime out or be benched. (i.e. that Bere had the starting job until further notice.) Of course, him starting won't be much help if he gets shelled, but maybe he's settled down. On the other hand, while he hasn't been *good* so far this year, he's not likely to post an ERA above 4.50, which at least puts a ceiling on how much damage he can do.
