The only minor lingering question is: can he get the job done? There is no doubt that there will be save opportunities aplenty in Houston.

yeah 35+ saves easily... if you exclude the top 5 guys, he maybe has the best stuff

I'd just like to point out that as THE MAN in Houston, this guy is still unproven. I agree with everyone here that Dotel has great stuff, but there is a certain *thing*, a certain fortitude or something that you need to be a good closer. Lot's of lights out setup guys have failed in the closer role. We won't know for sure that Dotel has the toughness to close until he proves it 5 or 10 times in tough save situations. I think he can do it, but we won't know for sure until he proves it.

there's also a flaky manager named Jimy Williams and a nice reliever named Brad Lidge, but that being said I foresee an excellent season for Mr. Dotel, though he just hasn't really gotten chances through week 1.
