MVP is good for a baseball experience, but it has some gameplay bugs and the Franchise has a HUGE BUG(Player's barely change after the first year.)
ESPN is better for people who like to play long franchises, and are stat freaks. It also has great gameplay, but has slightly worse graphics(although, the stadiums are awesome!).
I'll be going with ESPN b/c I like to play LONG franchises.

Going to huge someday.
MVP all the way! The ESPN licensing is cool, as well as the confidence ratings, but beyond that...it doesn't compare to MVP. MVP just has too much going for it. If they polish next year's version...it will be the baseball behemoth!!
For kids? LOL, why because pitching actually involves skill? I like the throwing meter for fielders as well. It's better than just throwing at a constant speed and accuracy for every throw. Now you have to get into position, and still not throw it too hard or it'll go wide or high. Awesome gameplay. And if the players don't improve from season to season I'll be pissed. I'm almmost done my first season (I'm in mid August) and have noticed some players improving marginally, but nothing significant. Tim Hummel is doing pretty good for me in AAA, and had a brief stint on my MLB roster while Uribe was on the DL. I wish they had roster expansion in September, though. Not perfect, but from what I've heard, it sounds like the bst out there so far.
And somebody mentioned statheads would prefer ESPN. What is different about it, because I'm big into stats and player development. Although that doesn't matter much if ESPN doesn't have AA and AAA.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
